The Canton Fair Chinese is a trade fair held in the spring and autumn seasons each year since the spring of 1957 in Guangzhou, China. Its full name since 2007 is the Chinese Import and Export Commodities Fair,  renamed from Chinese Export Commodities Fair  It is the largest trade fair in China . Among China's largest trade fairs, it has the largest assortment of products, the highest attendance, and the largest number of business deals made at the fair. Like many trade fairs it has several traditions and functions as a comprehensive event of international importance.The 101st session in spring 2007 saw a very large rise of business with African companies. More than 16,200 buyers were from African nations, an increase of 73% from the August 2006 fair.Fifty trading delegations, being composed of thousands of China's best foreign trade corporations (enterprises), take part in the Fair, including foreign trade companies, factories, scientific research institutions, foreign invested enterprises, wholly foreign-owned enterprises, private enterprises, etc. The 101st fair saw 314 different companies from 36 countries.
